Agaricus 30% – Agaricus blazei

Agaricus: a remarkable mushroom from Brazil Agaricus blazei is an edible mushroom that became internationally known from the Piedade region of São Paulo state, Brazil. It is also known as the almond mushroom, Royal Sun Agaricus and Himematsutake. Modern taxonomy uses the name Agaricus subrufescens; Agaricus blazei and Agaricus brasiliensis are also widely used names. From fruiting body to concentrated extract For our Agaricus extract, we use only the fruiting body: the mature, visible mushroom. We do not mix mycelium powder or grain substrate into the finished product. The mushrooms are cultivated on a formulated growing substrate containing, among other things, organic straw, natural fertilisers and plant-derived ingredients. The growing substrate is not added to the capsules as an ingredient. After a fermentation stage, we process the raw material by hot-water extraction. Water releases soluble compounds from the mushroom material. The extract is then concentrated and dried into a powder. Each capsule contains 300–350 mg of Agaricus extract. Standardised for polysaccharides We standardise our Agaricus extract to at least 30% total polysaccharides, with an average content of approximately 33–34%. Polysaccharides are complex carbohydrates characteristic of mushrooms. This broad group includes various glucans. The percentage refers to total polysaccharides; a separate beta-glucan content requires specific analysis. Pure formulation and quality control Our capsules contain Agaricus fruiting-body extract in a plant-based pullulan shell. Pullulan is produced by fermentation and offers an alternative to gelatine and HPMC. We add no grain, starch, mycelium powder, synthetic colours, fragrances or flavourings, or preservatives. We test the raw materials before processing through an independent German laboratory. The raw materials are not irradiated during production. Our focus is on the identity, composition and verifiable quality of the extract. Daily use Our daily-use regimen is 2–3 capsules per day with water, preferably on an empty stomach, approximately 30 minutes before or 90 minutes after a meal. For an individual regimen, a specialist may recommend 4–6 capsules per day. Do not exceed the dosage stated on the current product label without appropriate professional advice. Store the tightly closed jar in a dry, dark place at 10–25 °C, out of reach of young children.
