Auricularia 30% – Auricularia auricula-judae

Auricularia: the distinctive wood ear Auricularia auricula-judae is an edible wood-growing fungus with a recognisable ear-shaped fruiting body. Its brown to dark-brown fruiting bodies grow on broadleaf wood, including elder. When fresh they feel soft and somewhat cartilaginous; after drying they become thin and firm. Rehydration restores their supple texture. Auricularia in Asian cuisine Wood ear mushrooms have been used for centuries in East Asian soups, noodle dishes and stir-fries. The pleasantly crisp texture makes them a familiar ingredient. Culinary use involves the whole edible fruiting body, while our capsules contain a concentrated extract. From fruiting body to concentrated extract We select the fruiting body for our Auricularia extract. During cultivation the fungus grows on a prepared substrate, which is not added to the capsules as a filler. After selection and a fermentation stage, hot water is used to extract the mushroom material. The extract is concentrated and dried to a fine powder. At least 30% polysaccharides Our extract is standardised to at least 30% total polysaccharides; a typical product specification is around 33–34%. Polysaccharides are complex carbohydrates naturally occurring in fungi. Researchers study their composition, structure and physicochemical properties. Standardisation for total polysaccharides is not the same as a separate beta-glucan measurement. At 300–350 mg extract per capsule, a minimum 30% corresponds mathematically to at least 90–105 mg of material measured as polysaccharides. The exact batch content depends on analysis. Clean composition Our plant-based pullulan capsules are made using tapioca fermentation. No mycelium powder, cereal substrate, starch or other fillers are added. We do not use gelatin or HPMC as the capsule shell. Quality and careful use We pay attention to species identity, fruiting body selection, extraction method, standardisation and raw material purity. Our raw materials are tested and are not irradiated during production. Each jar contains 60 capsules, with 300–350 mg Auricularia extract per capsule. Take two capsules before going to sleep with a glass of water on an empty stomach. Store tightly closed in a dry, dark place at 10–25 °C.
